Humairah

I promised updates in the previous post did I not?
Then I became too caught up in my fish tale (can't help the pun there!)

I wanted to write about my visit to Ana's place yesterday.
And about cute Humairah!

I had bought this little halter neck dress for Humairah
Its white cotton, with a little embroidery...

So I had to pass it to her before she grows too big for the dress.

Hubby and I went to see her yesteday.
That was Hubb's first time at Ana's place.
And his first encounter with Humairah.

Humairah has learnt how to kick
And she likes to throw her body back
So you must be careful not to be caught off-guard! (while holding her)

She seems to be fascinated by my husband.
She will look and look and stare at him..
Then turn her body 360 degrees around
To look at him again!
Her antics are so cute and amusing!

Oh and she has two cute baby teeth!

Anyway, I get to taste Ana's chocolate chip cookies!
And I get to tapau some home!
My husband says.. Mmmm.. delicious..
Then we told him, its not Ana's best!
Terbeliak mata dia!

My compliments to the chef!

Fish

A few updates since my last post.
First, my husband and brother have found a new love
Fish!

My brother came home with 2 fishes one day
An angel fish and a pink one.
We called the first Tiger and the second Pinky.

My brother has no clue how to look after fish.
He loves them.
But many times in the past, the fishes he brought home
Would inevitably pass on
One after the other.

This time hubby and I went out to buy a pump
It was too big for the small tank.
The fishes were traumatised...
The next day Tiger was found afloat...

The next step was a bigger tank
We found one at yahoo auctions.
A glass tank 18 inches long
But its just Pinky in a (relatively) huge tank!

So my mom bought more fish.
2 black goldfish and 6 small fishes

I dunno, perhaps the pump was too small now.
But one black goldfish died the next day.

My hubby quickly bought another pump
Let's hope that's the end of our fish casualties, I thought to myself..

But no.. More drama this time!
Pinky acts like a bully. My brother found one the surviving black goldfish's eye lying at the bottom of the tank!
"Mata Hitam dah kudung!"
Oh no!

So we removed the now blind black goldfish to another tank.
But he quickly died. There were also some blood loss.
I realy felt quite sad.
I wonder how pet owners cope with all the emotional loss!

Anyway we had to remove Pinky from the big tank too,
Because he was chasing the other fishes around the tank.
We placed him in a small tub, but made sure he had enough Oxygen.

Well Pinky's time was up too. My dad found him on the floor the next day.
He had jumped out of the tub.

The 6 small fishes also became 5.
I have no idea what we are doing wrong.
But the casualties seem never ending.
And so ends my fishy tale.

Indulgences

My waist line is not getting any smaller
My appetite is amazing!
My husband says I have the tank of a Toyota Camry....
Hee hee...

Food glorious food!

I indulged myself last Sunday
Not talking about food this time.
I caught Star Wars again with Z
It was the last weekend the movie was still showing
It was still good. Oh my oh my I'm a Star Wars geek.

After that we went to my house
But stopped over at East Point Mall to grab lunch
And I then spent a bomb on the Star Wars Episodes 4 to 6 DVD collection..
Thought about it..
But could not resist
There is something about Episode 3 that makes u want to watch 4 to 6 all over again...
And I gave in to temptation....

The DVD set came with a bonus DVD about the making of the movies...
Wowee.. I now know a lot of Star Wars Trivia..
For example:
Nobody except a select few knew that Darth Vader was Luke's father.
Even while the movie was shooting.. all the actors didn't know...
The guy who played Darth Vader was given a script that said
"No, Obi Wan killed your father."
And that was what he said during the shoot.
Luke himself was only told just before that scene was shot!

Wowee I'm a Star Wars nerd!
And proud of it.

Ups and Downs

I do apologize
It seems that when I go MIA
I really go MIA....

But honestly, lately I seem to have lost my muse
After I returned to the nitty gritty of my life (i.e. work)
From such a long and wonderful holiday...
The pain of it was indescribable...
Was it depression? Was it work stress?
I don't know...
Suffice to say
It was one heck of an emotional upheaval.

But I recently received some fantastic news!
Those close to me will know what I'm talking about...
For the rest of you.. keep guessing!
I just feel blessed
Happy, but worried too....
Sounds like another emotional see-saw doesn't it?

Well, as the cliche goes: life is full of ups and downs...
And frankly that's exactly how I'm feeling right now!
